India’s largest Broadband and Land line service provider BSNL, is ready to roll out a new High Speed ‘Prepaid Broadband’ service segment on the lines of prepaid mobile coupons, where subscriber can buy a recharge coupon to top up the account, instead of paying a monthly rental. BSNL Prepaid Broadband could be the next to change the game for the rising Broadband-Internet market.
Currently BSNL Broadband(wire line) user has to pay a minimum monthly rental of Rs. 250 and in some telecom circle its Rs. 150, which he may easily forgo by opting for the prepaid broadband connection according to a senior company official, Under this Prepaid Broadband segment a user would need to have a BSNL modem and he can then purchase a recharge coupon from the market.
